Nike / Magnet – Commercial
A52 – 2004
Created CGI Dolphins, Bats, and Geese for a commercial featuring Lance Armstrong. Revised models and rigged all characters. Developed bat and geese automated behavior animation. Setup particle pipeline for bats. Animated bats and geese. Color and Lighting for geese.

Cadillac / Turbulence – Superbowl Commercials
A52 – 2004
Setup, Animation and Lighting for various shots featuring huge water wakes emanating from several vehicles.

HBO / Carnivale – Main Title Sequence
Emmy – Outstanding Main Title Design
A52 – 2003
Worked closely with the design team, providing technical advice, solutions and previsualization. Supervised texture development. Developed a 2D/3D transition technique, allowing the camera to seamlessly approach a 2 dimensional Tarot Card surface then smoothly enter the 3 dimensional space within the card. Helped develop pipeline to automate shot creation. Animated camera in select shots.

Adidas / Slugs – Commercial
Silver Clio – Visual Effects
A52 – 2003
Modeled and Rigged the slugs for animation. Setup animation for various automated behavior elements (breathing, eye-stalk motion, sticking to surfaces). Animated Hero slug (the jumper). Supervised and finalized other slug animation. Also provided Pre-vis animation for shot staging and framing.

Sony Playstation 2 / Signs - Commercial
A52 – 2002
Painted weathered 3D textures on Gargoyle. Setup Rigid Body Dynamics for extra pieces of debris to fly off gargoyle on impact. Animation, Color, Lighting, Shading (renderman) and Compositing of gargoyle. Also setup method to create animated sign marquee.

Novell / Fireflies

A52 – 2001
On-set visual effects supervision. Refined firefly model and rigged for animation. Setup automated behavior animation (wings flapping, light blinking, flight bobbling). Setup an updateable character pipeline, animation and character development were happening side-by-side, new versions of the fireflies could be imported at any time. Setup behavioral particle simulations. Tracking, Animation, Lighting and Compositing on various shots.

Merril Lynch - Commercial
Method Studios – 2000
On-set visual effects supervision. Pre-visualization and timing for practical effects shoot. Modeled and rigged Bull for animation. Supervised 3D paint/texture creation. Initial particle development. Tracking, Color and Lighting, Animation on various shots.

Sony Pictures Imageworks – 2000
Senior Technical Director. Part of the wave team, developed and implemented particle splashes on the CG waves after the crash sequence. Technical assistance on various other shots.

What Lies Beneath - Film
Sony Pictures Imageworks – 2000
Senior Technical Director. Wrote seaweed (for opening titles), fog and various other Renderman shaders. Added fog elements, headlight interaction and puddle reflections to “the bridge” shot (Aerial to Close-up shot of truck on bridge). Lit various underwater shots of CG head replacements.

Bronze Clio – Visual Effects
A52 – 1999
Automated shot setup, allowing large hierarchies of objects to be created with default animation parameters in place and assign proper shaders to each object. Setup layered animation pipeline allowing a blend between key-frame animation and particle simulation. Animated various shots.
